ShowXpress crashes when I import fixture (OSX High Sierra)

Hi! I am having an issue where ShowXpress crashes each time I try to import my fixtures with the text file I downloaded from Chauvet (my fixtures are Colorado 1 Quad Zoom VW, which aren't listed in the fixture list in ShowXpress, so I had to find the files on the website and try to import it that way). I also have two Colorado 1 Tri-Tour lights, which are working fine with ShowXpress, but they were listed in the fixture list within the program so getting them set up was no problem.

I am running OSX High Sierra Version 10.13.5

Any help would be really appreciated!!!

Please post a link to download your lightshow (https://forum.thelightingcontroller.com ... ?f=3&t=168).
And tell us how to proceed to get the crash.
We will check that.

Ok! I believe I did what you asked, although to be clear I haven't created a lightshow or anything at this point (at least not on purpose) since I haven't been able to get the fixtures imported in the first place.

Our goal with this system is actually probably more simple than most people: We only want to be able to turn on our fixtures from the ground using my Mac and the Xpress 512 box, instead of me having to climb up into the trusses to turn on each individual fixture. We aren't trying to do anything special with the lights besides have them on full blast and wide zoom. We are using them to light a video studio, so we just need static light.

I can also copy and paste the info that I get when the program crashes, if that would be helpful!

Forgot to say how to proceed to get the crash. For me, it consistently crashes every time I try to import the Colorado 1 Quad Zoom VW fixture using a text file I downloaded from the Chauvet website that is specifically supposed to be for ShowXpress. I will attach that file to this post. As soon as I hit "patch" after selecting this file to import, the crash happens. It crashes when I use any of the text files for the different personalities of the light (STD.P, STD.W, or STD.Y) except for the "UNO" personality, which doesn't cause a crash but also doesn't really seem to work properly when I do get that one imported. And of course, the UNO personality is not the one I need because it doesn't give me all of the options of the other personalities.

Please ignore our previous post, and consider this new one.

We found the problem: it is because the file name contains two ".", which confuses our software.
We will fix that asap.

In the meantime, please use the attached files. The first "." has been removed, so they will work.
