V8 - Hard Midi and DMX Patch freezing

Hey guys! I'm trying to go through and assign particular knobs and faders on my Traktor to control specific DMX channels and everytime I go to File > Hard Midi and DMX Patch, I get the spinning wheel of death and am forced to Force Quit ShowXpress. :O
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program about 5 times now and I'm not making any progress. I am using ShowXpress 8.10 on my Mac (OS 10.9.5) and I'm having a terrible time with programming the traktor to control lights! Please Help!!!
