The Lighting Controller

Is it possible to use sound active mode, in steps? Assuming of course the specific light has this feature?

For example, for my ADJ mega par profile lights i see Sound active mode 1 and Sound active mode 2 in the programs list. But, it doesnt seem to do anything when I have those selected, even if music is playing.

Does the audio need to be received somewhere else?

Also, how would I know what result to expect? Some programs change colors, others strobe, and yet others do both.

"Audio" level is supposed to put the fixture in a standalone mode, running with sound coming from the microphone of the fixture.
In this mode, the software does not control the pan/tilt/color/... of the fixture.

So it will work with the controller, but it will basically be exactly the same as if I had simply set the pre-programmed sound function on the light?
