Unfortunaly I also still have this problem.
I do use wav files and 6.333.
It's a pity because you always have to start the hole song from beginning.
The later I set the red marker in the track the more delay/difference is between this "pre-listening" and the original.
In some other posts I read that there's no real music player in timeline, because the software just tells the computer to start/stop the track(?).
Can you help?

Our software effecively asks the OS to play the file with the OS player, so there is always a small delay.
But so far, if you use a WAV file (no delay for decoding), and if the file is stored on a "fast" volume (no cd player ; a hard disk for instance, without sleeping mode), the delay becomes quite acceptable. This is the feedback we got from some users, in this forum.
