Live Freezing during show

Good morning all,
During a live show the other night, the Live show kept freezing up. The buttons would stick and I couldnt click them on or off. The only way to resume the show was to shut down Live and re-open from the control board.
Naturally this was a major issue duringa Pink Floyd rock show when, at crucial times during the show I had to switch the lights off, and wait for it to re-open. Only 2 seconds, but its long enough to ruin the effect and show.
Has anyone else experienced this? I have the latest software upgrade, run Windows 7 etc. Is it my laptop causing the issue or is there a glitch in the software?
