DMX in trigger problem with Showtec 512 [fixed]

Hello

I connect the DMX output of the Showtec 512 to the DMX in of the Sweetlight for triggering DMX.

I have a LED Par 64, 7ch. DMX


When i patch DMX input 1, to ch.7 (led par 64 dimmer), I can control the dimmer of the Par64 with channel 1 from the Showtec 512 mixer.

But....

The Led par will flash sometimes, like a strobe, but once in 20/30 secs. I see it also in de 3D view.


Why does this happen?? When i put the showtec dimmer to 256, the Led par 64 will go on, but flashes without any logical reason. Sometimes every 10 sec, and sometimes around 20 sec.

When i connect multiple Par 64, on multiple DMX channels, it onlyh happens to par 1. When i disconnect par 1, it happens to par 2. But not on led par 3 or 4.


It looks like the trigger from the Showtec 512 doesnt work correctly. When i remove the dmx input patch, and control the dimmer with the sofware fader (Editor) there is no problem.
Looked futher, and there are no overlapping DMX channels, or other DMX stuff running.


Please help me!! I got a big show tomorrow, and I really need to control the LEd par dimmers with the Showtec 512!!

What is your dmx interface ?

Ssa is not sold for a couple of years now, but so far, there was no problem with its dmx input !

In order to be sure that the problem comes from the interface, can you please try it with another dmx lighting desk ?

I have no other controller.

The strange thing is that the 3d view also shows the flickering of the lamp.

Got same problem with theaterspots, bit no problems with dimming moving heads.

I saw my old post here, and i solved the problem.

The showdesigner 512 had a hardware problem en needed repairing. It sended an unwanted pulse!
