Changes to live in ver 6.33

Is there some instructions on how the new features work and what they do in ver 6.33? What is the big slider on the right side of the live screen do? How do you get it to do anything? Also what is with the colors of the buttons on the live screen? They are all blaw and harder to see. I want the bright colors back.
