ShowXpress - Unable to see light fixtures

We are running ShowXpress 6.2 on Windows 7 64-bit. I booted the PC run with unsigned drivers so the driver will work.

When I start ShowXpress, the control panel screen says that 'one universe found'. This is as far as we can get. We are unable to control the lighting and nowhere does it indicate that it sees any of our lights.

What are we doing wrong?

Is the interface correctly found in the Windows Device Manager ?

Yes, the interface is correctly found and we are still unable to control the lights. I am probably missing the obvious. I have looked at the manuals for ShowXpress 5.2 but there are differences and I am just not sure how to create a new fixture properly.

The manual is supposed to arrive before the end of this month (may be some extra delay).
