The Lighting Controller

Hi there,

I cannot get the buttons (clickable on screen) to trigger my scenes in LIVE. The DMX button is 'on', but when the buttons are moused, nothing happens. When the very same scenes are played in the EDITOR, they work fine. Can anyone suggest ways to troubleshoot this problem? I just updated to the latest software and it didn't make any difference. I'm running the Xpress 512 via USb from a macbookpro. Using all Chauvet lights.

Is it same with the demo show ?

Thanks for the response. I can't figure out how to load the demo show up. Nothing in the manual when i search the word 'demo'. Could you walk me through?

From ControlBoard select "Settings" (top left)

In the tab "lightshow" there is a drop down menu titled "Current Lightshow" select "Demo Tutorial" from this list. Now click "Apply Settings"

thanks for the response. so I got the lights to react in 'live' mode when i run the demo. Any ideas why my scenes won't play in live mode when I've created buttons for them?

It is not easy for us to guess what could be the problem.
We suggest you to compare the demo_show scenes with your scenes, in Editor.

I got it to work! I think I figured it out. My scene files were not stored in the "scenes" folder within the new 'light show' (folder) that I created. I was just using the default light show when I started, and kept my scenes in a separate desktop folder. Once I copied them into the light shows 'scenes' folder and reloaded them as new buttons, everything worked fine. I really appreciate the help, guys. Thanks again!
