Support & Tom
I loaded Sweetlight to look at the program. It looks and functions exactly as I was hoping for. I'd like to try it on some fixtures but I have X-Factor USB hubs and I am about to head out for a week long fiil-in gig. When you get the version for ShowXpress and I get back next week I can get to trying it out.
Still I patched a few channels on Sweetlight to Ch 1 and looked at the DMX levels and it responded as expected. Outstanding!
Thank you so much! I can take this software and a small wing console anywhere. I can patch a 120K rig, do more with it than a conventional console in about an hour setup time. All that with a Notebook PC and a USB/DMX hub at a cost, per universe, that leaves any other PC based software I have used in the dust!
Thanks again!!!

Tom,
Yeah (+) makes all the difference! Thanks for your help as well.

hi
i try to patch this :
channel 1 = 3+5+7 the output is 1+3+5+7 i would like it to be only 3+5+7 (so with output 1 deaktivated)
channel 2 = 4+6+8 the output is 2+4+6+8 i would like it to be only 4+6+8 ( so with output 2 deaktivated)
channel 3 = 10+11 the output is 3 +10+11 this wouldnt work because it follows channel 1
if u need the channel to be "aktive" u could patch it like channel 1 = 1+3+5+7
this would be more flexibel

Thank you for the explaination Marco. We have understood, now.
Your remark makes sence. We changed the code following your request (available soon in new beta version).

oke thanks

maybe the following is an idea for the multi channel patching is for the todo list
take the fixtures from the set up:
the patch output screen would show if u start like:
par red =1 --> output 1
par green =2 --> output 2
par bleu = 3 --> output 3
movinghead 1 = 20-36 --> output 20-36 (or only the start adress)
movinghead 2 = 40-56--> output 40-56 (or only the start adress)
later u can redirect the output to the desired channels
to me this would be more user friendly, just an idea!

Support and Marco,
I thought that is what Marco was getting at but I didn't have time to clarify. Doing it like Marco requested is much more like any patchable 512 conventional console. No handle is patched to anything until you tell it so.
So in this scenario you can patch 1 to 3, 2 to 1 and 3 to 2 etc...
Once again this is exactly what I needed, The software programming to be more like a conventional console in this aspect but with all the other benefits of it being a PC based software lighting programming.
Thanks!
