@Support.
There has been quite a bit of discussion on this beta release feature.
It would be great to hear what the development team think of these suggestions.

We read carefully your posts ; we learn.
We are now checking the possibilities regarding software coding, while considering user-friendliness.

We will come back to you very shortly with a new beta program.

@Support and other Live users.
I have been thinking about this a lot and have come to conclusion that the ultimate buttons for this would be a "Master FadeIn" and "Master FadeOut".
Ideally it would take the shape of a slider like in editor, would be user programmable to which channels it would affect, and the fadeout slider would default at 100% and the fadein slider at 0%. On moving the slider would proportionally change the values of each channel selected.
How do other users see this suggestion?
Is it an extremely difficult program change, and will it remain a dream.

I was chatting with Support on PM. I have my idea much better described here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=1811 Check it out, it may not be as complicated as it sounds.

Fade in & Fade out moved from page menu to button menu.
The concerned channels are: RGBAW, CMY, dimmer, strobe_dimmer and par_can.
Please tell us if this feature is now more suitable for you.

And just for info (does not concern this topic), two other options added:
- "Pause on last step" (the difference with "no loop" is the button stays on)
- "Fader button" (fades from first to last step)

I just downloaded and tested this new version. I LOVE IT. Great work on the changes!

My Wishlist for this new feature:
- Icons like this, when active: Image so we would know which buttons will fade in/out.
- Change fade In/Out times per button, the same way button speed works.

Thanks!

"show 'fade in/out' icon in button" noted in TODO list.

Because of the complexity of our multi-buttons and multi-pages concept, we do not see presently a solution to fix one different fade in/out time for each button. Please note that this feature is more to save against a mistake when using Live, like for instance you switch off a button by mistake and the stage goes straight to black. Please keep in mind that, with well programmed scenes, there is always a fade in action with time of first step of new scene.

This looks promising... I like what I see so far. Lots of possibilities for my shows.

However, I the Fader tool doesnt appear to work for me. Fade in and Fade out are working on my show.
Note, I am only testing using dmx out and 3d, havent tried it with my actual fixtures.

Keep up the good work.

My Mistake, Fader tool requires at least two steps in the scene to work.

It is now working.
