Soft Patching [fixed]
Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Nope, just the normal .txt file I'm downloading from herehttp://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... indows.zip
Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
That confused me! I thought it was in the normal place! Found it now. Nice new feature.
Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Tom, Where is it?
I think I downloaded and installed it but I don't see where the feature would be. Can you help?

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Within the program "DMX and Midi Patch" then the tab DMX output.
You can only patch 1-1 though you can't say type dmx address 1-10 = 35-45
It seems you have to say 1 = 35, 2 = 36, 3 = 37 etc

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Support and Tom,
I don't see it? I see the DMX input screen. And I see the DMX Input just as it has been. I can can patch any of the up to 48 handles of a wing console to the software. But soft patching? Where? How?
I need to patch a House rig and dimmers of reds on Source 4 pars to one channel of my programming. I need to do the same for the other 5 colours as well as up to 12 Leko's
So if my software programming of my reds is in Ch 1 then all I need to do is patch where all the House reds are...
So I take the patch sheet from the House rig and patch the software. I.E. House red Source 4's are on Chs 1, 7, 13, 25, 31, 37 etc
And I soft patch 1, 7, 13, 25, 31, 37 etc to the softwares Ch 1 programming.
Therefore anything I do to Ch1 in the programming affects the associated channels I patch. I this scenario if I put up Ch 1, the reds on the house dimmers of channels 1, 7, 13, 25, 31, and 37 are brought up.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Make sure you download this: http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... ht_Win.exe You should now get a DMX output tab in the patch program.
But you don't appear to be able to do multiple outputs in the same patch.
So to do what you want to do I first tried: Channel=1 Outputs=1, 7, 13, 25, 31, 37
But this doesnt seem to work. I think you have to do it a channel at a time:
Channel=1 Outputs=1
Channel=1 Outputs=7
Channel=1 Outputs=13
etc etc
But you don't appear to be able to do multiple outputs in the same patch.

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
Sorry, it looks like I am telling you wrong again!!
It doesn't look like you can have multiple instances of channel 1. So you can't achieve what you are after. It looks like it is a simple 1-1 patch panel.
Support, is it possible to patch to more than one DMX output?

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
I don't have Sweetlight. Why would I download a fix for Sweetlight?
And for the record using the DMX Input screen put a plus (+) between your channels for multiple channels. Dmx Input 1= 7 + 13 + 19 + 25 etc....

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
finaly i got it working.
im using sweetlight
i did download the zip file,
and for multiple channels u use the +
for example slider 1= 3+5+7
slider 2 = 4+6+8
slider 3 =10+11
i only found 1 problem the slider that is the host (in my example 1 2 3 ) is also still aktive,is it possible to deaktivate this?
for showexpress i think support hasnt it put it online.
@LD did u try the sweetlight file if it works?
@support is it in the future possible to patch not the channels but the fixtures?it would save time
i would like to do it also for multiple channels like movingheads? or is this now possible?
ex channel 20-33 = output 100-133.
keep up the good work

Re: Soft Patching [fixed]
We will release soon "clean" beta versions for all.
We add in the TODO list "DMX output patch - patch multiple channels in one shot"
Right now, this is not possible in one action. This is possible only by entering one line per patched channel.channel 20-33 = output 100-133

Sorry but we do not understand this question.the slider that is the host is also still aktive, is it possible to deaktivate this ?
