Update.

Whilst I can get version 9.1.15 running, when trying to playback the audio or change the file I receive a message saying missing codec. This is the same for wav or mp3

The application does seem snappier but without being able to hear the audio, I cannot evaluate further

Any further ideas?

Yes, install the codecs.

Nice idea but this is a message on Mac, not PC if you checked my last messages. We are only trying to get help from support so maybe a nicer less sarcastic response would be appreciated and assuming that we have a little common sense.

Codec is not Microsoft Windows exclusive

As you already know, our software just asks the OS to read the media file. And your OS says it can not read it because of "missing codec". It is clear that you have to install in your OS the necessary codec to read your media file.

Alternatively, you can provide another media file that your computer is able to play for the tests.

The computer is able to read mp3 and wav files natively. For example, the Mac has the codecs to play Aiff format but lighting controller will not.

I would assume that if the new version of the software does not have this message when playing the same files then the error must be with this older version no?
