How to activate universe 3 with art-net

Maybe I'm confused about something but the hardware says that it gives access to a 3 universe via art=net. However when attempting to set up art-net through the software I hit a wall. Correct me if I'm wrong but for there to be a third universe wouldn't there need to be a third output on the hardware? The fact that a different dongle is sold with a cat 5 output tells me that maybe I don't have the correct version of the D1024 or how could I send art-net signal from my software. Is the third universe just internal? I'm very confused about how to use the 3rd universe.

The third universe is Artnet only.
It is available on the Ethernet socket of your computer.
