Druso 3DView Lightshow

Post by LightningFM »

Hello Forumers!
Here is a new 3DView lighshow, based on a mix of various songs and a stage modelled around a real one I got to operate recently.
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBzYHdqyscI
The venue ("Druso") that host this stage has currently paused the programming of the live concerts.
Before the stop, I had the pleasure to run the lights there for some shows, and I look forward to resuming. In the meantime, I decided to re-build the place in the 3DView and program this show. Enjoy!

Fixture list:
4x Clay Paky Alpha Wash 300
4x ClayPaky Alpha Spot 575
4x Martin Rush PAR2
2x Strobes (2ch)
2x ACL bars
4x 2-cell Halogen Blinders
5x generic front lights for performers

The entire stage runs on less than a universe and the show is (as usual  ) fully TimeLined.
Audio is a mix of various songs:
The first one with an "epic" feeling (Temporal by Tybercore) was my favourite to program! It was the one I originally picked for this project. As the show was a bit short, I decided to continue it with other tracks.
"Supremacy" by Muse, "The Wretched" by Nine Inch Nails and "All Is Hell That Ends Well" by Two Steps From Hell were originally used in Clay Paky demo show from some years ago (that I had the luck to see in 2016 after visiting their MoMS - Museum of Modern Showlighting - impressive!).
I worked on the second part of the show with the intention of re-designing it from zero without referring to the original presentation, in order to match the (way) different fixture types, stage structure and goals of the show, reworking it in my own style.

Hope you like it ;)

If you have any question, suggestion or feedback, type here or under the video! :)

Haha! Empty room! How appropriate for the current situation!

I love the different camera angles and camera movements. You have just the right amount to keep the show visually entertaining (besides the light show).

You definitely stepped up your game! Great Job!

Hello Flavio,

Yes, nice idea this wink at our current "Covid" situation.
This makes us thinking about to redesign the 3D people with face masks :-)

That said, this is a very nice lightshow.
The camera angles/movements are effectively a great plus.
Thank you for sharing it.

And all the best for year 2021 !

Thanks Bob and Support!
Glad to see the lightshow and the editing is enjoyable.
I wanted to have the most realistic 3Dmodel possible.. so reduced capacity configuration rule apply :D

..and happy 2021!

I'm a bit late here, but kudos on this as well.
Entertaining lighting and good use of the gear. Well done.
And you know I like the camera work ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback Torehl :)

You can expect a new lightshow coming on the forum in days (it is already visible on YouTube).
...and it will be the one with the most complicated camerawork (so far) ;)
