request - more clear pictures in buttons [done]

Hello,

In the current version of showXpress there is a white opaque overlay on top of all buttons. This makes it very hard te see colored buttons and, much more importantly, button images. I did see a topic regarding this about a year ago and it was discarded, because the text couldn't be read properly anymore.

I really want to encourage you to at least add an option to let a user choose if they want an overlay or not. It should be a user choice if the text should be readable or not. I am asking this because I can't see any of my images. Of I use a colored background it becomes hard to see indistinct colors as well.

See the attached image for clarification. I have added images of my laser scenes to select them easily. The problem is, that it is really hard to see the image.

The "overlay" is necessary to show the difference between the "on" and the "off" button states.

Buttons that are on show a dark background and a red line. I am not talking about the on buttons. I'm talking about the off buttons. Due to the white layer the images can't be seen properly. I find that it should be a user option to turn this off, so the images can be seen properly.

In some cases, it would be very difficult see the "on"/"off" states difference. For instance if the original picture has a dark background, or if it has red borders.

I will still come back to it having to be a user option ;). I get that it would be hard to see if someone is using the red borders and a dark background, but some people need to see their images. If it is a user option users can choose themselves to turn it on or off. Also they can make sure themselves the image doesn't have a red border, etc. Again, it should really be a user option.

Maybe as a user option on the page, and not the whole Live tab

That would be a very good option indeed. And I bet it would not be a very hard thing to program.

This request looks effectively "not very hard to program".
The problem is to program all requests without transforming our software in a labyrinthine system.

The support from.other users is there. I think it definitely should be added to your ToDo list.
