Scene steps not triggered in Live Mode

I have historically used many scenes in ShowXpress that have multiple steps (which work fine in Edit mode). I cannot figure out how to get the steps in scenes to play when a scene is selected in Live mode.

there are several things you can check with a right-clic on the scene button... (duration, auto start e.g.)

By default, with an imported scene in a button in Live, when you press the button, the steps are supposed to be played.
As Luc suggested, may be you changed some options in the button (?)

I was really excited to give it a try.

I fired up the lights and the program and right-clicked on a button and saw "Auto start." It was not selected. I selected it and saw a play icon show up on the button. With great anticipation, I clicked the button. The lights came on, but no steps were activated. I tried adding the "Random steps" option. No luck.

I'd sure appreciate any other suggestions. Right now I'm looking at a pretty dull show next week.

We suggest you to make the new following test:
- in tab "Steps", make a basic scene with two or three steps
- in tab "Live", create a button with this scene
And tell us if this new button plays the steps of the scene.

That worked! So did just reloading the scene file.

Do I have to reload all of my files with steps to get them to work? (which is a hassle, but way better than starting over!)

We do not know what is happening with your scenes, so we can not answer to your question.
We just see that it works with a new scene, and this is important to know.
