Mac OS Catalina

Postby brandonbelew » 16 September 2019, 20:52

I'm trying to install the latest version on Mac OS Catalina. When I launch the application from my Applications folder, I initially get the unidentified developer prompt, I bypass it, then the app gives the error. Error loading library 'efk_hardware' !

It sounds like in addition to the application needing to be signed, it also wants the shared libraries to be signed by the same provider. Guessing it's not launching because of this.

Any ideas when an update will be released that is compatible with Catalina 10.15?

Thank you

Please try again after the first problem is fixed.

Thanks for the reply.

I didn't move the application outside of the folder structure it was in. I simply copied the entire ShowXpress folder to my applications folder. Attaching a screenshot.

It works here with a copy/paste.

Does it work when you download the DMG file from here: https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... f=85&t=114 , and you extract the folder on the desktop (not in the applications folder) ?
Could you also right click on the file "efk_hardware.dylib", select the menu "Get Info", open the section "Sharing & Permissions:", and post a screenshot of this section ?

I receive the same error when attempting to open from a folder on my desktop.

Permissions attached.

After double checking, we see the same problem.
Our software does not work presently under Catalina.

Please try to download the DMG file from another OS (Linux or Windows for instance) and then copy/paste the file to your Catalina computer.
And let us know.
