Equinox - RGB Power Batten

Can anyone help me. i have the profile for the Equinox RGB Battern (26 Channel) and is installed on the computer.
i am trying to create my own Pixel using Show Express.
i have set the DMX address to 73 (starting point of the Equinox) in the pixels tab and have link up the light to the laptop and made sure that the DMX icon in the top right of the screen is on, but nothing happens with the light it stays off.
The Equinox inst listed in the add fixture list so after looking at YT i saw that i could just enter the DMX Address. and pretty much leave everything else on the screen as it is.
i am not sure what i am doing wrong, anyone any ideas. many thanks in advance.
