It would be very handy to be able to send midi triggers from the timeline. right click on event and have a midi patch option. I don't know how hard this would be, but I would sure use it. With this I could sync Modul8 and Beyond with my timeline shows.

Usually with midi sync, users prefer to play the audio/file with an external player which is able to send midi notes. And these midi notes trigger buttons in Live. Like this, the sync is very accurate.

Create a "Dummy Scene" that transmits a note on/off in the trigger page...
assign the Dummy scene and the timeline button to a Macro where both can be triggered at the same time...
