I just started using ShowXpress yesterday. I'm trying to place my fixtures. I have added a Chauvet Radius 2 (using 3 dmx channels) and when I go to 3DView, the fixture is on and I can't turn it off. The only slider that does something is the 3rd (strobe). The first channel doesn't seem to be configured to reflect the default color settings. I probably missed something somewhere, but I can't get it...
I also I have a similar issue with my Chauvet SlimPar38 (7 ch.), the color macros don't seem to work in 3DView.
Thanks for your help!
Can't turn off fixture in 3D view
Re: Can't turn off fixture in 3D view
Please post (or email) your "Radius2" personality file ; we will check it.
Regarding the "SlimPar38", 3DView is not able to show the 'color macro' functions.

After checking, 3DView is not able to show such fixture.

The profile should be set with "not visible in 3DView" option, like the attached revised profile.
Sorry for this.

Re: Can't turn off fixture in 3D view
Ok....
It's just really disappointing that I just bought a 500$ Xpress512 from Chauvet, and that my Radius 2 and SlimPar38 from Chauvet don't work with the ShowXpress software from Chauvet.... That doesn't really make sense in my opinion.... I thought all this would work fine together... But anyway, thanks for your time.

Re: Can't turn off fixture in 3D view
Hi Joe,
Due to limitations of the 3D rendering portion within ShowXpress, the Radius cannot be seen/used in 3D. This is common for nearly all 3D rendering software on the market since they will struggle with generating as many beams as the Radius could produce. So, regardless of software manufacturer, you wouldn't be able to see this type of 'derby' effect in any competing software either. The SlimPAR 38, however, should work perfectly fine. If you are having troubles with that fixture, please reply to this message so we can work out a solution!
Thanks so much for your support!
