Won't start up. "Failure. License not found" [fixed]
I thought it was free. In any case how do you license it. I'm looking for something to replace PCDJ DMX.

The software is effectively free.
This message happen when some files are missing, so it should not exist.
Please check we are using the current software version (V6.24).
Then proceed to a standard Mac software installation (DMG file install).

Re: Won't start up. "Failure. License not found"
you need to keep all of the folders together
I had this same error when I tried to move the applications on the dock. They need to be in the show express folder - i think because the control panel will probably not know where to launch them from and so it shoots an error.
Try to move all of the component apps into the original ShowXpress folder and then try to launch them again. Or download it again to be sure that you have them in the right places.
Hope that helps

Yes, it is obviously not allowed to move an application of our software.
The "alias" feature is made for that.
Just create an "alias" of the APP file, and put it wherever you want.
PS: "alias" in MacOS is like "shortcut" in Windows.
