In Version 7.1.12, if a timeline is played from a red marker point where one or many light scenes have already started, 3D view will not display anything for those light scenes. When the red marker is placed before a scene start on the timeline, everything in 3D view works properly.
In version 6.x, starting in the middle of a light scene resulted in the light scene being played from its beginning. So for example, a 10 second long light scene would begin with the first step in that light scene even though it would have been playing through the steps for x seconds at that point if the timeline was played from the beginning. Video and music would begin playing from the correct time-code when started from a red marker in the middle of the file, however.
My view is that Version 7 should either duplicate version 6.x's behavior or figure out where in the light scene it should begin as if it were played from the start to the red marker.
Thanks as always for your assistance.

Not Showing Fixtures When Playing From Red Marker [fixed]
Re: 3D View Not Showing Fixtures When Playing From Red Marke
We just checked.
So far V7 duplicates V6 regarding that point.

Re: 3D View Not Showing Fixtures When Playing From Red Marke
I am able to reproduce this problem on several files. I will attempt to try it on multiple PCs just to rule that out shortly.
Have you tried moving the red marker more than once from one location into the middle of another scene and then playing from the red marker again? It appears to work like v6 the first time and then stop playing any scene started from a red marker that is in the middle of it any time after that.
Thank you!

Re: 3D View Not Showing Fixtures When Playing From Red Marke
The fixtures start from their current position in v7, while they start from position "0" in V6 (when played somewhere from red marker).
So behaviour is effectively slightly different. However we consider this is a minor issue, since both behaviours do not reflect the reality.

Re: 3D View Not Showing Fixtures When Playing From Red Marke
OK, well unfortunately, I am not getting the same behavior on my end. If played from the middle of a light-scene using the red marker, the scene does not play at all.
Let me try with an entirely new lightshow to see if the problem is with my older lightshow files. I have been a user of ShowXpress for about 14 years, so my files date back a long ways.
I will post back with my findings.
Thank you,

Problem identified ; due to the display of real light-scene length (if not looped) in V7.
Fixed for next version.
