Step
One static setting or look consisting of selected fixtures, their constructs, and timing.
The application "Editor" shows steps, and it saves a scene.

Scene
Single or multiple steps in sequence which create movement, color changes and effects or as simple as a single look.
The application "Live > Buttons" allows to play scenes.

Macro
Multiple scenes triggered together.
The application "Live > Buttons" allows to create macros.

Preset
Slider to select a step of a scene.
The application "Live > Buttons" allows to create Presets.

Timeline
Graphic design showing a long bar with events labeled on points where they would have happened. It shows events along a period of time. Events can be scenes or media files.
