Ongoing ShowXpress Development

Postby spmklm2412 » 07 December 2013, 00:16

Hi,

Could I ask when we can expect any further updates to ShowXpress? Its been nearly nine months since the last update to v6.33 became available. Is there ongoing work and if so, what can we expect in the way of new features?

Thanks,

Steve

If you boys at Chauvet haven't noticed, American DJ/Elation is blowing th doors off you guys lately. They're putting out light fixtures and new updates and improvements to Compushow like gangbusters. They also have integrated two new midi controllers for the software, midicon and now midicon pro.

What the hell is going on at Chauvet?

All I hear are crickets!

I'm a Showxpress user but I will tell you that soon I will be sellingy little silver box and moving to those who seem to be working pretty hard for their customers and new business.

Wake up guys.

PS they also have a respected DJ on forums and social media selling the pants off of Compushow. He used to run SE, and moved to the Elation products. ADJ has seen the value in him and he is selling a lot of product for them. Especially compushow.

I'm eagerly waiting for new technology to catch up with brand X. I won't wait much longer though.

We are working on a major new version.
A major new version needs months.
We need some more weeks to release it.

Thanks for a little reassurance....

You mention 'a few months' in your response... What is your intended release date?

Coming back to my original question... Can you give us an idea of what you are addressing in the new release in terms of improvements and any new features you will be focussing on?

Come on guys - SPILL the beans.....

In order to do the best possible, we can not fix any deadline.
Sometimes a new "not expected" good idea comes, and we decide to do it, knowing it will delay the project.

In conclusion:
- no possible deadline, because priority to quality
- development and delay might change, following feedback from users
- we can not list all new features, but you could find several of them in this forum
- and the upgrade to this new version will be free for existing interfaces (no need to buy a new interface, or to return your interface and pay for hardware modification)

We did not know they practice that to.
We were facing other products.
In fact, many are practicing this.
