App to read .sce file like HEX editor?

Postby FlipC » 02 May 2013, 23:04

Anyone know of an application to read the scene file.
Going to try a HEX editor when I get home but just thought I would ask.
Think it would save me allot of time duplicating a single fixture scene over multiple fixtures. Each having different start points. IE I can change the fixture address and then save as new file and open and change scene order.
Copy paste is WAY time consuming. And Generator - ok for points. But lines in circular form. I never get it right enough for my standards. Least for moving heads. Scanners it's a breeze.

Scene files are in binary format.
There is no easy way to edit/modify them, with a hex editor software.

Would it be difficult to use a spreadsheet type editor for scenes? or a find and replace function? This would be very, very handy when you have several different venues on the road, and the 512 controllers size, with a laptop are so portable, it is a shame to not have such an editor.
