any date for Timeline and Midi ?

Postby gilsontech » 25 December 2009, 00:23

Again Guys, I'm liking the new changes alot so far. I understand there's still a lot of changes and updates you'll need to do to make it similar to 5.2, but it'll be worth the upgrade for the compadibility issues you'll be adding. I have a few questions/comments i'd like to ask:

1 - When do you think the Timeline / Midi Functions will be ready?

2 - What changes can we expect for the Timeline and midi?

3 - Will HD video be supported in the timeline or aspect ratios?

4 - Also side note, on the 3D menu the option for feet says "Feets", you can drop the "S" for the english version, thanks.

Thanks Josh for the comments! We'll add the "feets" comments to the to do list. The software has been out for many years now and this is the first time someone mentioned that! Good catch!

1 - Timeline is our next job. It should be ok before spring. Midi is also in the priority list. It should be ok before spring to.
2 - First version will be similar as version 5.20.
3 - ScreenControl (our private media player) uses the codecs from the operating system. The right codecs need to be installed in order to be able to read the media file.
4 - Thank you for the info. The change will be effective for next version.

Hey,

Any news on a date for time line? V6 is mostly useless to me untill this is implemented :) I just use it so much!

Also is a visual representation of the audio file in the to-do list? So that is is so much easier to time things when you can see the waveform of the sound. It would make programming an incredible amount quicker!

Cheers

hands down i 100% agree, we need a visual wave image of the audio file. This makes it a lot easier for us to program are lighting in sync with the bigeers waves like bass or a start of a song without listening to the whole song over and over. thanks support!

Hey all,

I just read on the other forum that Timeline, may be ready in a few weeks.

I have a gig in march which is 3 nights using about 25 timelines per night. About 70 in total, all totaly preprogramed. I hope to be able to use V6 for it and fingers crossed if we get an image of the audio file it wont take me a week to program it all!

I'll let you know how it goes (if I use it!)
