I'm currently using Presonus Daw and this has a new set list feature where by you can create your playlists, it also allows you to customise buttons and knobs etc. to control various things, it can also recall and swap reverbs, VST instruments instantly during the tracks

I will be shortly moving over to this as a main stage controller, my question is, I'd still love to use sweetlight, is there anyway I can recall timelines via buttons from Presonus? If not is there anyway of utilsing sweetlight from my DAW software? I know DMXIS has a VST you can use within your DAW

Thanks.

You can use an internal MIDI routing software like LoopBe to send MIDI messages from your DAW to Sweetlight, to trigger buttons, timeline GO, etc.

Thank you for your reply, very interesting.

Can I ask if you have used this method before and is it easy to setup, more importantly is it stable?

Thanks in advance.

For this function, personally no. But I've used LoopBe for internal midi routing for different applications before and had no troubles.

There are other users on here who have done exactly what you've described, but with Ableton Live, so I can't imagine you would have any troubles.

LoopBe is free, and there are other free alternatives out there. I recommend just downloading it and giving it a go to see if it will work for you.

I've used this feature many times with Cubase, no problem.

Hi,

Tried to get Presonus Studio One Professional DAW to work with Sweetlght and I'm struggling.

Loopbe1 installed fine

DAW picks up Loopbe and so does Sweetlight.

Can't get them to communicate, can either of you guys help?

What inputs do you have on you midi in/out on your DAW and same question regarding Sweetlight?

Assuming a midi note is sent via the DAW on a specific channel via Loopb and Sweetlight picks this up via Button trigger with the same midi info set?

Many thanks,

Yes this is how it should work. Make sure the Loopbe is activated in Sweetlight (preferences) and obviously, that the right MIDI message is assigned to the right "Live" button... (use the "learn" feature)
