Using Behringer X Touch to control master faders

Postby Bap » 12 May 2021, 23:38

Hi !

I've been struggling to make my Behringer X touch and the master faders from the live section to work together. When I use the Learn button, the faders only send an On or Off signal...
Is there a way I can make it work as it should, sending CC values ?

Hello.
Could you please ?
- open the window "Midi logger" in our software
- move up and down the midi fader
(the window "Midi logger" is supposed to show the received midi messages)
- post a link of the screenshot of the window "Midi logger" (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... f=3&t=6904)

I will do that tomorrow, I don't have my X touch at the moment.

This device sends "PichWheel" midi messages, and our software presently does not manage such messages.

But with our midi experience, we found such messages exclusively with midi keyboards "pitch" wheels, which always come back to position "0" when released.
Could you please confirm that your "Behringer X touch" device is set to the default configuration ?

The X Touch only has two MIDI modes : HUI or Mackie Controller, I used the MC mode

We are presently not able to understand these midi messages.
They do not match with the standard midi protocole.

We need time to try to understand them and then to see if we can manage them.
But not easy to find some doc on that.
This will take time, without any guarantee to make them successfully working with our software.
Sorry for that.
