what i would like to do is send a midi note out of a daw to trigger a timeline program.
i sequence songs out of logic and would like to write a dedicated channel in logic to trigger and start appropriate timeline program(s).
can anyone guide me?
currently i am triggering externally, but would like to omit the physical triggering of timeline.
thank you.

Hey mate,

This is easily doable using something like LoopBe or another "internal MIDI cable" software. Basically it will appear as a MIDI Input device to ShowXpress, and as a MIDI Output device to your DAW. You just route the MIDI over that and voila, done. You'll need to still set the midi triggers for each button you create in Live mode, however instead of using the "learn" button and pressing a physical button, you'll have to manually put in the note value MIDI message that corresponds to the MIDI note you're using in your DAW.

Does that make sense? Sorry if my explanation is a little lacklustre, it's very late for me at the moment here!
