Moving green marker gives two sec of audio playing [fixed]

Post by pepitotsl »

good morning I have a problem in the time line,
when I pause and move the cursor forward, when I leave it even if the program is paused it makes me listen to 4-5 seconds of the music and video that are in the time line even if the program and paused. so every time I go forward with the timeline first I listen to what I had paused and then the track I wanted to put how can I fix it, I hope I was clear, thanks a lot to anyone who can help.

dell precision 3561
notebook i7 11850h
32gb ram
2*ssd 1tb
win 11.
gpu quadro t600 4gb nvidia
audio via headphone minijack output

I experimented and inserting an OFF tool at the start of the next audio track and placing the cursor on the Off tool doesn't do it.

Nice machine ! ;) As you don't use a separate audio interface but the internal one, I would suggest trying ASIO4All (100% free), it will reduce latency for sure, but to be honest I'm not sure it will cure your problem...

The software plays 1-2 second of the music where the green cursor is moved.
This is normal.
This is not possible to remove that function.

To move to a specific point without music playing, we suggest to use the red cursor.

Good morning. the red cursor is not a viable solution because I would have to first pause then look for the point that interests me and I would waste too much time doing one song and another. Anyway I think I found the solution by experimenting, just put an "OFF" tool at the beginning of each song and video and park the green cursor there when you move it thus emptying the software cache and you don't hear those 2 seconds of the previous song.
Thanks for the info and I hope this post is helpful to others.

Thank you for your feedback.
Well noted the using of the "OFF" tool.
Happy to see you finally found a solution :-)
