Certain Videos not playing in timeline

Ok, need some help if possible. I have many timelines with video. Most are playing fine in screen control. I have a few that just won’t play on the new laptop. Older laptop works fine. Also, it won’t show JPGs in a timeline at all. It’s not the file type (some MOVs won’t display). Any advice?
