The Lighting Controller

I installed the ADJ 12PX Hex unit in the editor and it responds well in the "Steps" editor. When I go to pushing buttons in "LIVE", it flickers and blinks intermittently. It also occasionally 'blacks out' for half a second when I switch from one "solo" button to another. I also have the "flash" button giving me the same problem.
In some ways, it seems like a cable issue. But it works fine in the "steps" mode.

Sorry but, apart the problem mentioned above, we do not see why the "scene play" will have a problem in Live and not in Steps.

Do you have a termination plug on the fixture (last fixture)?

Thanks. No. I was using just one fixture trying to get things started. I even completed the circuit with a cable back into the SSA unit. I took back the laptop I bought for this operation and have purchased another hoping that was the problem. I will report back my findings. Long story short, as the Task Manager went "tick, tick" showing the performance spectrum, the light went "blink, blink".

FIXED
It was the computer. I don't know if it was the AMD Ryzen chip or the AMD configuration (i.e., the video card is not integral - it is separate). Or if it was the anti-virus (McAfee is a huge program). Or maybe the 1 TB hard disk was bad. I returned the computer and got an Intel i3 Gen. 8 chip with SSD hard drive and 8 GB RAM. I did not load the McAfee anti-virus.

The light show works perfectly.
