Focusing Lights While Programming in Generator

Postby mondinga » 16 June 2015, 05:23

So the scenario is.... I'm creating a scene in generator with 4 moving heads. I select my fixtures or fixture group that I want to manipulate.

The scene I have created looks good and I am happy with it, except I want to adjust the focus on just one of the fixtures. How can I do that?

If I select only the fixture I want to focus, it asks me if I want to save the scene I was working on. I don't want to loose my work, so I cancel that and save the scene as is, with my one light out of focus.

I know I can open the generator project in editor and then change the focus, but that is a pain in the butt. It would be much easier to pull up my four fixtures, focus them right away, and then proceed with creating my scene.

This option would be a big time saver and make the whole process of creating a scene much easier.

What do you think?

The purpose of Generator is to create effects for all selected fixtures, with a delay between each other.
The purpose of Steps is independent setting for each fixture.

It would be a crazy job to include Steps into Generator.
