Using docking station for D512

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade everything from win 7 to 10 and upgrade the laptops from Dell XT2's to Dell XPS 13's My question is is anyone running dell docking stations with multiple universes and if so are there any problems at all? I found in the past my laptops needed 3 or more USB ports and anything like a USB hub didn't work.
