How to install a new software release ?

Uninstall the existing software (you will not lose any lightshow, because the lightshows are stored in another location). Two solutions:
1.
- open the system window "Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall a program"
- select the software from the list and click "uninstall"
- close the system window
2.
- run "C:\Program Files\YourSoftware\unins000.exe

Install the new software
- run the downloaded EXE file (double click)
