Problem with function "Paste on this step only" [fixed]

Postby MTF Showtechnic » 19 September 2016, 10:51

Problem copying steps in Editor:
If you "copy selected channels" and "Paste on this step" it won't work. Nothing happens or all channels will be Zero.

Menu Palettes
It would be a little bit nicer if there would be a Subitem to leave the Menu Palettes ore a changing Menutext.
For advice - If Palettes off -> Menu Palettes (Status quo)
If Palettes on -> Menu Back or "ESC" with keyboard.

We just checked ; "copy selected channels" and "Paste on this step" works here.
Please post a video showing the problem.

Noted for palettes, but not easy to do.

Sorry but I’m not able to make a video.
Btw:The issue has nothing to do with "Palettes" !
So here is my detailed approach:
I’ve tested this with your Demo Show V8.
1. Go to the Editor
2. Open the scene “all_strobe.scex”
3. The scene is made up of 2 steps
4. Select step one.
5. Take the X-Fader(PAN) of “Moving_light_spot_#1” and adjust it for example to the value 100.
6. Select the Pan & UPan Channel with the red hook.
7. Right click “Copy selected channels”
8. Go to step 2
9. Both channels are still marked with the red hooks and showing the value “0”.
10. Right click on PAN and “Paste only in this step”
11. Nothing happens, Value stays Zero, only the hooks are deselected.

If I do the same in V7 it works!
Hope you can reproduce that behaviour.
Greetings from germany

Have had any time to take a look to that problem?
Maybe we can talk about at Highlite's Dealer day?
