I use presets, macros, keyboard and DMX triggers. I work with a 32 channel NSI MC 7016 wing console.
I have worked with this band for 8 yearx and have been running their light show with software for 3 years. I have had the usual problems here and there but nothing I couldn't fix. The guys I work with play 3 to 3 & 1/2 hour shows without a break. So my lights have to work and the software bulletproof. I do 50-80 shows a year with them.
In this show I run 24 LED P64's (12 US, 12 DS). 6 Intimidator 250 LEDs US, 48 pinspots patched into 8 groups/8 channels, and 2 Molefay (crowd blinders)
2 Intimidator LED 150s as DS vocal follow spots patched down to 2 handles each and then focus positions are done hot and live, then saved to a submaster.

My wash RGBs are patched to 3 faders for R, G, & B. I then submaster those three to a handle, as well as submater a mix of all three for a NC handle. This allows my to mix the wash manually as I wish and then I have keyboard triggers if I wish to just bring certain artists out in NC and not use a spot. And in certain songs I have the software in control of the wash for dual colour washes, strobes or other special features.
