Pixel Programming (Pix Par 12 & Pix Par24)

create lighting scenes for RGB fixtures

Ok I loaded the pix par 12 profile. I modified the DMX address (431), added some text to the name (36ch) and clicked on export fixture. Now how do I start to do a new scene or project with that light grid that was just created with the new fixture? When I move my cursor over the the red boxes there is a yellow box that reads "Pix par 12 (36CH) (001-036)". My actual address is 431-466.

All I get is a red grid with 16 boxes and no numbers. Also is the fixture supposed to show up in editor? It doesn't show up there. I try clicking on effects and select an effect, I get a windows message that pixel.exe has stopped working. And forces you to close the program. Then you have to exit out of show express to be able to do anything with pixels.

Pixels has no link with Editor. Everything is made from Pixels.

We just updated Pixels.pdf, please read it: http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... Pixels.pdf

We also jst updated the demo lightshow (with a Pixels show) ; we suggest you to watch it: http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... o_show.zip

I got the Pix Par 12 set up in Pixels. I got the light to work in the pixels screen. However when I click on Generate; it asks for the file name to save it to. I type in the name of the file to save it to then the following error message comes up: "Pixels.exe has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

then you have to exit completely out of showXpress and reload the program to use it. It is on a Windows 7 64bit desktop computer with 400GB free disk space and 8GB of memory. All windows updates are installed and using Ver 6.33 of ShowXpress. This also sometimes happens on a windows 7 laptop as well. Any suggestions?

Please, save the "Pixels" project and post the lightshow.
Then it should be easy for us to reproduce the problem, by loading the "Pixels" project and trying to generate the scene.

To save the project in Pixels : menu "Save project"
To save the lightshow : right click in ControlBoard and select "Export a lightshow"
Then make a ZIP of the lightshow folder, and post it.

We have the lightshow.
We can reproduce the problem.
We will work on this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please note that, if you uncheck the 3 first effects (rainbow, gifanim and rainbow2), the final effect is the same, and you can generate the scene without crash

PS: effects can be stacked when they have transparent background
