Pixel Programming (Pix Par 12 & Pix Par24)

Postby rbekel » 17 May 2012, 21:40

Does anyone understand the pixel programming? I understand Pix Par12 is now shipping to dealers. Is there any other information about programming pixels like a video or more printed information than the 4 pages that has been released to date? I have some on order and need to get them programmed in about 2 weeks time. I have a copy of the manual I downloaded but not much help there. Any Ideas?

What exactly are you trying to do? Program the individual pixels using ShowXpress or trigger the built-in programs via ShowXpress?

Rbekel, were you able to find any new documentation on Chauvet Showxpress pixel programming? I am trying to program it with a ADJ Revo 4 light which has 256 pixels where each individual pixel is on a channel. There are inumerous possibilities but without knowing how to configure it properly it doesn't do much except load animated gifs or chaser/rainbow pre-programmed effects.

It is presently possible to layer, "chaser", "rainbow" and "GIF anim" effects.

In a short time, a new effect called "Picture motion" will be added.

Hi Support, thanks for the info. ShowXpress won't let me create more than 100 channels for a light. Revo4 has 256 LEDs and each should be in a channel to allow proper programming, right? But when I get to channel #100 and tries adding one more ShowXpress resets the count and erases all. How can I setup 256 channels for a light? Thanks again.

The fixtures for Pixels must be created from Pixels (not from Setup).
- right click in the grid and select "Add Fixture"
- click upper left on icon "Open" and find your fixture
- if your fixture is not in the bank, create it in the "Fixture properties" window

After you create the fixture in the pixels section, how do you save it and make the grid look like the fixture properties grid?

I'm working on a pix par 12 (36 ch)

Click on the upper left button "Export fixture", to save the fixture.

Sorry but, we do not understand the second question.
