One goes on and all go off [fixed]

Postby dreamtheatre » 20 November 2013, 00:25

Hi All,

I'm in my first week of a new setup and I've hit my first snag.

Here's my setup:

2 4bar flex (one on each side)
2 6 spots (one of each side)
1 quad scan LED
8 Par Cans
running on showXpress 6.333

So I've had it all set up for a few days with the exception of the 6 spot which I hooked up today. Now when I hit a button in live that has all pods on the 6spots come on at once, any other light that's on goes off.

I have a couple of chases for the 6 spot in there and those don't affect the other lights - only the full on button for the 6 spot does it.

I've added a copy (zipped) of my lightshow dir.

Any help would be awesome!

Thanks

This is typically a matter of programming. The scene you are activating also has activated the other fixtures. Check the scene you are cueing and make sure nothing else is activated for any other fixtures you don't wish to react. The software can layer multiple scenes but it has to deal with conflicting data in a last button cued has priority. So again check the scene you cued and make sure it does not have conflicting data.
Note: There is a difference when a fader in the programming is active or inactive. Active and the fader is green with a DMX value underneath, inactive and the fader is subdued.

My guess is that the fixtures that are going off have active faders with a DMX value of 0.
Check it out and let me know if this helps.
