[Mac] Interface Cable does not work on my Mac

Ive just installed sweet light on my mac and are using the basic USB to DMX converter (the cable one)
Ive set up a basic (1 LED par can) show.
Ive pressed the DMX button,
but I'm getting no output, and on the Control Board it says:
Show -> Test
No Universes found
Do i need to assign the universe to a DMX output or tell the software what dongle I'm using?
