Postby johntankard » 19 October 2011, 09:35

Hi Guys,

http://prolight.co.uk/images/media/ISIM26/ISIM26-um0.pdf?PHPSESSID=0c8cd11aa6fac8235c3ee640c116d43b

I am new to all things dmx and am slowly learning, however I could do with a profile for this light..

Regards John

Hi Support,

I have been playing with the new profiles and the iMove50SR profile does not seem to work, all the channels seem 'mixed' up, for instance shutter operates the x/y speed. I have tried everything to get it to work but cant. I am running in 16 channel mode, the light is set to 16 channels - I have even just tried one moving head on its own, different cables, different pc - nothing works - please help.... it's 3am and ive been at this now for over 6 hours.

In the doc of your link, shutter is channel 3 and pan/tilt speed is channel 4.
This is weird (usually speed channel comes just after pan and tilt), but we just did same as the doc.

May be the doc could be wrong (?)

Hi Support,

I have just sent an email to support at Prolight asking to make sure the dmx controls in the document are correct, once they reply I will post it and see where we go from there.

Hi Support,

Here is the emailed reply I have just got from Prolight.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Hi John

The manual that comes with the product and is on our website is correct, this is the same manual that was supplied when the product was launched.
We have now sold many hundreds of them and do not have any other problems reported regarding the DMX profile.

I am sure it must be an issue with the Sweetlight controller/profile.

Best regards

Geoff

So the situation is:
- in the doc, shutter is channel 3
- in the doc, xy speed is channel 4
- when you move shutter in our software (which is the third fader) this moves xy speed (which is the fourth channel)

We just checked if there could be a new bug in our software which reverse channel 3 and channel 4, but we did not find any problem.

Would it be possible for you to connect another dmx fixture to the interface, and tell us if channels 3 and 4 are also reversed ?

Hi Support,

I have just connected an American DJ Scan 250EX to the controller and your software using the built in profile. There are only 5 channels of DMX this fixture uses and all assignments are correct.

John

PS - Using your profile on the iMove50SR I have not yet found a channel which opens the shutter yet, as you said chan 3 should be shutter and 4 should be x/y speed - actually 3 is x/y speed and 4, well I have no idea what that does, doesnt seem to do anything including open the shutter.
