911!! configuration help

I'm so glad I found this forum. Everything DMX I've learned has been from YouTube but I've hit a wall and it's driving me crazy.

In my current setup I'm running 8 Chauvet Slimpar56 (1-17-33-49 dmx address) I have fixture 1-4 with these address settings, and fixture 5-8 with the same (to consolidate fixtures. I'm using a Chauvet Obey40 with allows 12 fixtures.

I also have 6 Lixada 512 moving head lights fixture 7 - 97, fixture 8 - 113, fixture 9 - 129, fixture 10 - 145, Fixture 11 - 161, Fixture 12 - 177.

Pretty straightforward. Now when I plug the Obey40 directly into the Slimpars without the Lixadas connected, everything works fine. When I plug the Obey40 directly into the Lixadas with the slimpars disconnected, it works perfectly. The issues is once I take the out of the slimpars into the lixada (or even the other way around) my lixadas on channels 8, 10, 12 start tweaking, i lose control of them and they're just on another planet.

Troubleshooting steps I've taken: I've replaced ALL dmx cables with brand new ones, 3 of the Lixadas are brand new, plugged each light solo into the obey40 and it worked fine. It all falls apart when I try to connect them all together. The last step I did was go from the Lixadas to the Slimpars and started pulling out the dmx outs to see if that could be the issue, well I got up to fixture 4 (of the slimppars) and so far so good. Once I plug in fixture 5, the problem happens.

I sat in my living for confused beyond what my brain can handle and I'm totally stuck. Would greatly appreciate some guidance or suggestions.

Getting the ShowXpress 512 or 1024 was my next purchase. But if the same issue is going to happen, theres no point. I have questions for that as well, but I cannot seem to find a retailer in SoCal to get back to me.

Almost certainly an issue with a switch on your Obey desk, or reversed wiring in one or more DMX fixtures. https://www.learnstagelighting.com/dmx-polarity-care/ may well help you.
