Advice towards using the software with a band?
Posted: 18 February 2016, 00:47I work for a small Texas Country band. I'm the tech guy, in charge of setting up and running the FOH system, IEMs, and now, lights. We've been lucky to have a little funding thrown our way and have invested in 5 RGB bars, 8 RGB par56s, a couple of wash panels, some Chauvet 6 Spots, and 4 RGB "blinders", using a haze machine and ShowXpress we've been getting some decent light shows happening.
We have a decent enough budget this year to add another tech guy to the crew to focus on the lights. I've seen a few guys using the big boy consoles like the GranMA or Hoggs, and I like how the workflow is, but the price is way out of our range.
Does anyone have any suggestions on setting up this software, with a APC Mini and touch screen, and using it in a similar way like the big boys?
