Can you use either sweetlight or Chauvet software with any Xfactor box

No you can not.
XFactor works exclusively with ShowXpress software.

[i]i just bought a xfacter box by sweetlight from ebay last night and downloder the 6.0 version of sweetlight from your web site ...when i opened it up it loaded the current show i was working on from the showxpress 6.0 they both lool the same boxes and software ....so do i have to run sweetlight verson control board when i use the sweet light box or can i use it as a second unerverce with the software? im not sure if i just made a big mistake or is its a good backup to have

Both interfaces look very similar, but their internal firmware and memory is slightly different.
The interfaces having a SweetLight logo work exclusively with SweetLight software.
The interfaces having a ShowXpress logo work exclusively with ShowXpress software.
However the structure of light shows folders is the same. That is why you can use light shows from one software to another.
But it is not possible to use the two interfaces together with one software.

The software is presently 95% the same. There are some small differences which are not really important (we do not have a list of them). But in the future, there might come more differences, since ShowXpress is more dedicated to America and SweetLight is more dedicated to Europe.
