USB connection with D512 [fixed]

Hello,

I resently got an old D512 interface. I wanted to try some things out, but i cannot make a connection with my computer. I'm using Windows 10 and the D512 can be as good as 5 years old.
I tried with a MacBook pro, with and without DMX cable connected. My laptop and the software don't recognise the interface. Only the blue dot is lighting up saying it has power, but the green PC LINK led is not on.

How can I resolve this problem? I looked everywhere but couldn't find an answer.

Go to D512 hardware section and read about downloading and installing drivers.

I updated my usb-drivers, but i'm not sure that was what you meant.

I'm using Windows 10, version 1803. On an hp elitebook.

I recently Purchased a New Computer and Im running windows 10. I downloaded the new version of the showxpress software and downloaded the driver software update and I can not figure out why I do not have a PC LINK Light/Connection between my computer the lighting software program and the dongle 512plus???? ANY Suggestions?? I have tried to manually copy and past and replace the driver update files into the program c showxpress driver files and still nothing... thank god I still have my v8 computer set up to the dongle!

What i meant is, whats the name on the interface, is it a sweetlight d512, is it a showexpress/chauvet d512

For using this interface u need to download the correct software

Oh, okay. It's a sweetlight D512. I downloaded the correct software.

My computer did made a sound when i plugged the device in, but i still cannot see it in the sweetlight software..
