Anyone know why:

30 channel led strip dmx controller box does not recognize the dmx512 box on Mac but does without problems recognize xfactor box with PC.

The Mac with DMX512 can control ADJ led par64 without any problems.

Really weird the green light on the led controller blinks when plugged into xfactor but nothing on the Mac.

Have you checked the cables you've used for any breaks or distortions?

I take the same cable that goes from The dmx512 and connected to the X factor and it works fine. Dmx512 it's connected to a Mac and the X factor is connected to my PC

I was wondering if a solution has been found for this issue. I purchased (2) 30 channel decoders to use with my dmx512plus.
The signal is leaving the box but I get nothing on the decoder. I have tried setting it up like it's 10 individual 3ch fixtures using the rgb profile. I have tried editing the RGB profile and making it 30 rgb channels. I have tried running the daisy chain to the decoder first and last and it does not change anything. I have verified that the signal pass through to the next fixture.

Are you using Mac or PC?

I have a friend with an Xfactor box I'm about to test to see if it's an issue with the 512plus.

Yeah I haven't been able to test the 512 on my PC. Just seeing what it did on his Mac. Let me know. Thanks.

The Xfactor works fine and the dmx 512 and the dmx 512 plus do not work with the 30 channel decoder. I finally found out why when I found this post:

(The decoder is not compatible with every valid DMX. The root cause: device rejects DMX packets with 2 ms interframe time (delay between channels)
For instance - 2ms usual delay for some chip on-stock DMX Masters and popular Arduino library DMXSimple provides 2ms delay. DMX standard is not limited interframe delay. Thus 2 ms delay is allowed in terms of standard.
I've made modification of DmxSimple code (reprogram timer to achieve <1-ms interframe delay) -

So Chauvet made an adjustment on their interframe time after the Xfactor.

The Box interface is a few years older than D512&Remote interfaces.
The firmware and the chips are different.
The dmx signals are slightly different, but they are all dmx512 compliant.
