With the interface xpress512, you can control 512 additional Artnet channels via the Ethernet port of the computer (total 1024 channels).
Or you can control totally 1024 Artnet channels via the Ethernet port of the computer (total 1024 channels).

curious as to why this has been locked?
the dmx-lan is billed as a Multipurpose art-net sACN node converts 1 ethernet cable to 2 dmx universe
so i can't use this in addition to my other dmx xpress universes?
thanks for your time.
very limited info on the dmx-an product

Is the DMX-An supported?
The software (Sweetlight) will not recognise it.
Yet telephone support with Chauvet confirm that it is supported.

Any help please

Mikewild and chrishooksbass: The Chauvet DMX-AN is an Artnet Node.

What Support is trying to say is that by using one of their proprietary interfaces (as listed in the FAQ page they posted), having one of those plugged in will unlock 2 Universes: one that outputs as DMX signal over the interface, and one that outputs as Artnet out of your computer's ethernet port. By using an Artnet Node like the Chauvet DMX-AN, you can then convert that Artnet signal into DMX for use with cheaper fixtures that do not support Artnet natively (ie fixtures that don't have an ethernet port).

Support on this forum cannot provide technical support for the Chauvet DMX-AN because (I cannot stress this enough)
[from support] we removed this text "ShowXpress is not ..." because it might be misinterpreted [end support]

This forum is for support of ShowXpress software only and is unaffiliated with any other Chauvet products. I suggest for technical support in relation to the DMX-AN to contact Chauvet tech support directly, or look up the ShowXpress users Facebook group and post up in there.
