No, this device is not an interface for our software.

An article was posted on the "Chauvet ShowXpress and Lighting" Facebook page by Allan Reiss.
Allan Reiss You can use the Net-X with ShowXpress, but you still must have a SX interface connected to the computer. In other words, connect the SX interface via USB, then connect RJ45 cable from computer into Net-X and you're good to go.

Does this mean that we are restricted to only 512 dmx channels per universes connected, or will one D512 and Net-X give us more dmx channels?

So i need a device to activate an another device ONLY for using 512 channels?... the idea, in my case, to use the NET-X its to have available 8 universes...

The channels of each universe (not interface "Cable") linked to the software are also linkable via Artnet.

so... for example.. the D512 works like a "KEY" to use 512 channels via ART-NET?

Yes, you can say like this.

But in our side, we prefer to say "we offer you 512 Artnet channels for a D512 universe".

Just a note to consider.
With big users using multiple universes, surely a better option for a new glorified isolator/splitter, why was this unit not an 2 universe unit with artnet, and upgradable to more universes with a card insert?

I am referring to a "Plug-In" module which could your printed circuit board of a 512 modified to plug into slots within the rack unit.
